The Comeback Song (We Have a Banger)

It took us twenty some years

To go back to the drawing board

In the silence that no one hears

Trying but failing to not get bored

Do you remember us? We don’t think so

Probably never knew we existed

Yet here you are, nothing better to do, so

Can we at least pretend that you missed us?

Take our hand

And fly away

Although you know what

Better don’t

We don’t know

What words to sing

Yet here we have

A banger!

O, how the times have flown,

From tracking our guitar in the bedroom,

To sitting here all alone,

Prompting the A.I

In the kitchen.

We don’t even have to sing,

This thing does better than we ever will,

It even sounds a bit like Fat Mike,

So let’s just nod our heads to the rhythm!
