Before God, there was nothing. Then something went off.
At first there is nothing — a void; there isn’t even a deity. Out of this void something appears, not yet formed, not yet knowing what it is. It flares up, dims, flares again, and stops on the very edge of being born.
The song unfolds the same way: it starts quietly, then something explodes, and from there it develops, now dying down, now growing loud, until it closes on a strange, half-ambient melody that keeps the suspense.
